AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers: Uzbekistan defeat Laos in style

Matchday 2 of Group F in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers kicked off today at the “Bunyodkor” Stadium in Tashkent.

Under the guidance of head coach Kotrina Kulbytė, the Uzbekistan women’s national team secured a dominant 7–0 victory over Laos.

The goals for Uzbekistan were scored by Diyorakhon Khabibullaeva (32’), Umida Zoirova (33’), Nilufar Kudratova (48’, 90+3’), Maftuna Shoyimova (81’, 90+2’), Asalkhon Aminjonova (85’)

In the other Group F fixture, Nepal cruised to an 8–0 win over Sri Lanka.

Uzbekistan will face Nepal in the final group stage match, which will be played on 5 July at 20:30 (local time) at the “Bunyodkor” Stadium. The winner of this decisive fixture will top the group and qualify for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup
