For the first time in Uzbekistan, a football championship will be organized for girls under the age of 12. This tournament is being held as part of FIFA’s League Development Programme, and represents a key phase in a broader initiative aimed at developing women’s football in the country.

The main objectives of the championship are:

To increase interest in football among young girls;

To provide regular match experience for beginner female players;

To identify talented young players and guide them into football academies;

To support coaches and schools involved in girls’ football;

To promote a healthy lifestyle.

The championship will cover all regions of the country. It will be held in a U-12-specific format — with smaller pitches, shorter match durations, and simplified rules. The launch of this project will not only lay the foundation for future successes of the women’s national teams but also contribute to the rapid development of women’s sports and grassroots football across Uzbekistan.
