Earlier, We informed that the Uzbekistan Football Association has established the Referees Academy with the aim of advancing the football refereeing system in Uzbekistan, improving the theoretical knowledge and practical experience of young referees.
Theoretical and practical sessions are currently ongoing at the Chigatoy sports base. Experienced instructors are providing young referees with sessions covering key topics such as leadership qualities, physical conditioning, refereeing methodology, the referee’s authority during the game, one-on-one duels, handling handball situations, tactical fouls, disciplinary sanctions, and free kicks and penalties.
The new Academy serves not only as an educational center but also as an opportunity for young referees to exchange experiences, analyze situations, and continue their growth in refereeing.
It is important to note that the training program at the Academy consists of 6 modules, with the first module of the course running until May 12. Referees who successfully complete the training will be recommended to manage matches in the First League, Pro League, Super League, and AFC tournaments.
