In recent years, our country has taken great steps to host prestigious FIFA and AFC competitions. In particular, the hosting of the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024 has become an important step in efforts in this direction. The FIFA delegation visited our country today to inspect the preparations for the tournament.

The delegation of FIFA led by Kasra Haghighi, head of Olympics, Futsal and Beach soccer department, met with the leadership of Uzbekistan FA. During the meeting, both sides emphasized that everything will be done to make the World Cup hosted by Uzbekistan the best in history. A number of candidates, especially the city of Samarkand, were invited to hold the drawing ceremony for the competition scheduled for the spring of 2024.

Ravshan Irmatov, the senior vice-president of the Uzbekistan Football Association, admitted that the construction processes in the arenas in Andijan and Bukhara are going according to plan, will be completed on time, and that the association is closely cooperating with FIFA in this regard.

FIFA representatives also emphasized that the participation of UFA representatives in the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup in Indonesia and the exchange of mutual experience will be very useful in the organizational processes of the Futsal World Cup.

During the visit, the main arenas where the FIFA Futsal World Cup matches will be held, training grounds, works in hotels, construction and reconstruction processes will be inspected. FIFA representatives will be working in Tashkent on November 27, Bukhara on November 28 and Andijan on November 29.
