The FIFA Executive Football Summit, held annually by FIFA, is considered one of the most important dialogue platforms in global football today. These high-level meetings bring together presidents of member associations, the FIFA President, and confederation representatives to discuss global football development, share experiences, and align on strategic priorities.
This year’s summit is taking place in Miami, USA. Alongside delegates from various FIFA member associations, the First Vice President of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA), Ravshan Irmatov, and General Secretary Avaz Maksumov are also in attendance.
Throughout the summit, key football development topics were discussed, including grassroots and youth football, the women’s game, and the organization of upcoming FIFA competitions—such as the FIFA World Cup, women’s tournaments, and youth championships.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino warmly congratulated the Uzbekistan national team on securing a historic first-ever qualification for the FIFA World Cup. He also commended the Uzbekistan Football Association as one of the standout member associations successfully implementing the FIFA Forward Programme.
The summit was acknowledged as a vital platform for strengthening collaboration between football federations, exchanging ideas and best practices, and jointly addressing key issues facing the global football ecosystem.
