The event was opened by Ravshan Irmatov, the Senior Vice-president of Uzbekistan Football Association.

The Senior Vice-president of UFA congratulated all the participants of the seminar of Central Asian and European national associations on their participation in this event and expressed his gratitude to the leadership of FIFA, AFC and UEFA, who showed great dedication in their high-level organization.

Important decisions are being made on the initiative of the Honorable President Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev in order to further increase the popularity of football in our country, to select promising and talented players, and to establish a new system of training at a professional level.

The number of national teams of Uzbekistan in all age categories has been increased from 8 to 19, and the number of coaches providing them with quality education has been increased up to 5 times.

The cooperation between FIFA and the Uzbekistan Football Association reached the completely new level, and for the first time, Uzbekistan won the hosting rights for the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup.

I would like to emphasize the high level of inter-regional cooperation with the participation of representatives of Central Asian and European national associations in today’s workshop.

Topics related to football infrastructure, optimization of financial investments and improvement of monitoring, futsal, women’s and youth football, international competitions and high-level organization of football events will be discussed during the Cooperation and Exchange Workshop between Central Asian and European Member Associations.
