Today in Tashkent, the “CAFA U-17 Championship 2025” kicked off.

The Uzbekistan U-16 national team began their tournament campaign with a match against the Kyrgyz Republic.

In this game, Sergey Chigodayev’s side secured a 5-1 victory. The goals for our team were scored by Ahrorbek Ravshanbekov (24′), Laziz Abduraimov (65′, 71′ pen.), Rustam Aliyev (74′), and Humoyun Sindarov (90+4’).

With this result, the Uzbekistan U-16 team currently sits top of Group “A”.

Our team will face Iran next in the group stage on May 28.

Additionally, in the opening match of the tournament, Turkmenistan managed a 1-0 win over Afghanistan.
