Today, the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) held its Annual Reporting Congress and an awards ceremony to honor the best individuals and organizations of the year. During the event, several important decisions were made, and contributors to the football sector were duly acknowledged.

Key issues addressed during the Congress:

1. Approval of the minutes of the Congress held on December 26, 2023.
2. Approval of the audit report for the financial performance of 2023.
3. Presentation of the activity plan report for 2024.

The Winners of “Eng Zo‘r” Award:

Veteran of Uzbek Football: Yuriy Sarkisyan. This award was presented to Yuriy Sarkisyan, a legendary figure of Fergana’s Neftchi team. As a coach, he is a five-time Uzbekistan champion, nine-time silver medalist, and two-time Uzbekistan Cup winner. This honor coincides with his 77th birthday celebration.

Symbol of Dedication: Ibrokhim Sharipov. This award was presented to the veteran Ibrohim Sharipov, who has devoted 58 years to youth and junior football in the Bukhara region, nurturing thousands of young players and producing talents for clubs and national teams.

The Referee of the Year: Ilgiz Tantashev, who officiated several international matches last season, including four games at the Paris Olympics and the AFC Champions League final, was recognized as the Referee of the Year.

Women’s Referee of the Year: Gulshoda Saidqulova, who officiated several international matches this year and successfully refereed the Uzbekistan Cup final at a high standard, was awarded the title of Women’s Referee of the Year.

Partner organizations were presented with the Symbol of Effective Cooperation award for their support and contributions to football development and the organization of several prestigious tournaments this year.

Additionally, several media representatives were recognized for their active coverage of the activities of our national teams and football competitions throughout the year.

Youth Football Coach of the Year: Bobur Abdurakhmonov (Pakhtakor). Bobur Abdurakhmonov, a coach at the Pakhtakor Academy, who led his team to victory in the UFA Championship twice and contributed eight players to the Uzbekistan U-17 and U-20 national team, was awarded the title of the Youth Football Coach of the Year.

Youth Player of the Year: Mukhammadyusuf Sobirov (Uzbekistan U-20 national team and Sogdiana). Mukhammadyusuf Sobirov, who has been a steadfast goalkeeper for our U-20 and U-17 national teams for several years and demonstrated reliable performances for the Sogdiana FC this year, was named the Youth Player of the Year.

Futsal Coach of the Year: Nodir Eliboev (BMB), who led his team to victory in both the Uzbekistan Championship and Cup this season, was named the Futsal Coach of the Year..

Futsal Player of the Year: Husniddin Nishonov (Uzbekistan Futsal national team and Viten, Belarus). Husniddin Nishonov, the key player of the Uzbekistan Futsal national team, was named the Futsal Player of the Year. He received this award for the third consecutive year.

Top Scorer of the Women’s League: Lyudmila Karachik (Uzbekistan Women’s national team and Sevinch). Lyudmila Karachik, a player for the Sevinch FC, was awarded the prize for becoming the top scorer in the Women’s League 2024, with 41 goals.

Women’s Player of the Year: Diyora Habibullaeva (Uzbekistan Women’s national team, Sogdiana and Trabzonspor), the key player of the Uzbekistan Women’s national team, was named Women’s Player of the Year.

Coach of the Year: Timur Kapadze. The head coach of the Uzbekistan U-23 national team, who secured a historic achievement by earning the first-ever Olympic qualification, was named Coach of the Year.
