This year Uzbekistan will host the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024. Before the competition, another important event – the final draw for the tournament will be held. The ceremony is scheduled to take place in Registan Square, one of the most beautiful places of our country, in the old and modern city of Samarkand.

More than 200 countries of the world will be able to watch the ceremony held in Registan on May 26. The final draw ceremony in beautiful Samarkand serves to show our country through sports once again.

Today, a delegation led by the assistant of the FIFA President for futsal, the head of the FIFA competition department, Haime Yarza, visited Samarkand. The delegation is accompanied by Minister of Sports Adkham Ikramov and Senior Vice-President of Uzbekistan FA Ravshan Irmatov. The members of the delegation were welcomed by the governor of Samarkand region, Erkinjon Turdimov.

The participants of the event got acquainted with the plans for the organization of the drawing ceremony on Registan square.
