On November 5, at the Aspire Academy in Qatar, the Uzbekistan U-17 national team, led by head coach Islombek Ismoilov, kicked off their World Cup campaign with a 2–1 win over Paraguay.
Both goals for Uzbekistan were scored by Azizbek Abdumuminov (25’, 45+1’).
The team will play their next match against Republic of Ireland on November 8, with kick-off scheduled for 20:45 Tashkent time.
