The 10th Anniversary Congress of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event brought together representatives from CAFA member associations, as well as members of the CAFA Executive Committee. Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) First Vice President and Chairman of the CAFA Referees Committee, Ravshan Irmatov, also attended the congress.
During the congress, participants acknowledged that regional cooperation had reached a new level, emphasizing the need for CAFA competitions to be held more systematically and regularly. Another key focus was the development of refereeing and the implementation of modern technologies and practical innovations in officiating.
Future plans were discussed to continue educational seminars, online courses, and theoretical-practical sessions based on FIFA and AFC programs — all initiated by CAFA.
The congress also reviewed and approved several key matters, including an assessment of CAFA’s recent activities. Proposals from member associations were also considered during the meeting.
