Today, on October 27, an international seminar entitled Law and Sport was held at the Hilton Tashkent City hotel in cooperation with the Uzbekistan Football Association, the FIFA Legal Department, the international legal company “SILA International Lawyers” of Russia, and the arbitrator of the Sports Arbitration Court.

A number of well-known foreign sports lawyers, including FIFA experts, representatives of the international legal company SILA International Lawyers, arbitrators of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the executive director of the football club Dinamo Moscow and the head of the legal department of the football club Zenit took part in it as speakers.

The event was opened by Ravshan Irmatov, the Senior Vice-President of the Uzbekistan Football Association:

“I would like to thank the international organizations and speakers who helped organize the seminar on sports law for their support of this initiative. There are a lot of highly qualified football professionals in Central Asia and they want to improve their professional level. We believe that this seminar will be very useful for everyone and will contribute to the development of football in our region. In the future, the lawyers of our clubs will help to conduct activities in accordance with high standards in concluding contracts and drawing up international legal documents,” said Ravshan Irmatov.

On his part, Oybek Kasimov, the deputy chairman of the AFC Legal Committee, spoke about new demands and initiatives in Asian football. Representatives of regional associations and professional clubs participated in the seminar and received the necessary information.
