Today, on January 23, the national team of Uzbekistan played against the Australian national team in the group stage of the Asian Cup and tied with a score of 1:1.

In the 45t minute, a penalty was awarded to our goal by referee, and the opponent’s player, Martin Boyle opened the score. Thanks to the efforts of Jaloliddin Masharipov and Azizbek Turgunboev, who joined the game in the second half, the score was equalized in the 79th minute.

In this way, our national team led by Srecko Katanec took the 2nd place in group B with 5 points and qualified the 1/8 final-stage.

The next match of the national team of Uzbekistan will be held on January 30 at the Al-Janoub stadium in Al-Wakrah city against the national team that took the 2nd place in Group F.
