Today, on November 21, the national team of Uzbekistan played against the national team of Iran as part of the qualifying round of the FIFA World Cup 2026  and recorded a draw with a score of 2:2.

Ramin Rezayan and Mehdi Taremi scored goals in the first half of the match. In the second half, Oston Urunov reduced the score by scoring a goal after a mistake by a player of the opposing team. In the 83rd minute, Igor Sergeev scored the second goal of our team after Urunov’s pass.

The national team of Uzbekistan led by Srecko Katanec will hold the next match in the group stage against the Hong Kong national team on March 21.
