Today, on October 9, Uzbekistan national futsal team defeated Malaysia national team with a score of 4:3 in the match from Group G of the qualifying round of the AFC Asian Cup 2024.

Ikhtiyor Ropiyev, Elbek Tulkinov, Davron Choriyev and Dilshod Rakhmatov scored goals for Uzbekistan and Sayir Iqbal Khan, player of the opponent team scored a hat trick.

In that way, Uzbekistan national futsal team have qualified for the AFC Asian Cup Thailand 2024.

At the qualifying stage, 32 teams are divided into 8 groups of 4 teams each, and the national teams that won the 1st and 2nd place in their group will qualify for the AFC Asian Cup 2024. Thus, after the 2nd round, Uzbekistan and Iraq, having accumulated 6 points in Group G, became participants of the Asian Cup.

Uzbekistan national futsal team will hold its next match against the Iraq national team on October 11, while Cambodia and Malaysia will compete against each other.

The last round match between Uzbekistan and Iraq will determine the winner of the group.
