Uzbekistan Football Association concluded negotiations with the famous Spanish expert Jose Venancio Lopez in order to prepare at a high level for the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024, which will be hosted by Uzbekistan.

Today, a meeting was held between the leadership of UFA and an experienced coach. In it, UFA President Abdusalom Azizov noted that there is a high interest in sports in Uzbekistan, in particular, football and futsal, and noted that the national team has the task of adequately participating in next year’s World Cup. In this regard, he acknowledged that by cooperating with specialists with international experience, it will serve to form the infrastructure based on European standards in the future.

Jose Venancio Lopez noted that the hosting of the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024 by Uzbekistan is a huge event, the development of football and futsal in the country motivated him to work for the Uzbekistan national team, and thanked for the trust. In addition to working in the national team, the Spanish expert announced that he is ready to help with his experience in training local coaches, developing a system for supplying futsal players to national teams, developing infrastructure, as well as in the organizational directions of the World Cup as a UEFA and FIFA instructor.

After that, a contract was signed between the Uzbekistan Football Association and Jose Venancio Lopez. The head of the UFA wished the head coach good luck, noting that all conditions will be provided for proper preparation for the upcoming significant tournaments.
