Preparations are underway for the U-20 Asian Cup, which will be held in our country in March 2023. In particular, the UFA working group is studying the areas where matches and training are held, as well as the conditions there, and is making efforts to ensure that they meet the AFC standard.

A delegation of the Asian Football Confederation, which is responsible for holding the championship, has arrived in our country. Today, the Football Association of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting on the preparatory work of the U-20 Asian Cup, with the participation of representatives of the AFC and UFA.

UFA’s First Vice-President Ravshan Irmatov said that Uzbekistan has held several continental competitions in recent years and has gained a lot of experience, and this is important before the upcoming tournaments. He noted that the geography of competitions is improving, football infrastructures are being developed not only in the capital, but also in regions. He also added that everything will be done to successfully hold the next major tournament.

After that, representatives of the AFC inspected the “JAR” stadium.
According to the plan, the delegates will conduct inspections at the Lokomotiv, Bunyodkor and Istiklal stadiums.
